Gratitude and loads of it….

Today no left overs for me……. I am humbled and full of gratitude.

I am happy, feeling proud, thankful all at the same time. Let me share some moments of achievements, may be small but they brought joy and satisfaction to me. I will start with my adorable son’s victory. Today he has won the ‘The Best Basket Ball Player of the School’ trophy. Wait ! there’s more……He also bagged two gold medals in Football and Discuss throw along with one silver medal in Relay Race. Hurray !!! Continue reading Gratitude and loads of it….

My son was won the Best Basketball player of the school trophy, two gold madals, one in football, another in discuss throw and one silver for relay race.

A grand finale of Photo 101 last day. My son is feeling triumphant right now and so are we on his small achievement.

Cooking up Stories

What does most elaborate cooking meal mean?

A meal having an elaborate lay out or a meal just cooked well using plenty of ingredients ?

Well for me it means to bring love, passion and respect to the food being prepared and for those who will enjoy it.

Cooking is one thing which I cannot escape for long even if I want to. I like to cook when I have time. It is always a simple, light to digest, less spicy, healthy and fresh food which fits in my style of cooking. I stay away from artificial flavours, colors, preservatives, processed and tinned food. Walking On The Edge: Double Decker Root Bridge near Shillong

Hey ! I am back again to talk about live root bridges of Meghalaya. In my previous post I shared my experiences of visiting live root bridges while I was in Shillong.  As I promised to take you to a trip to one of the most magnificent and breath taking live root bridges and this time it is a double decker one !

For those who have not read my previous post’ Live root bridge at Sohra’, sharing little bit about Live Root Bridges: Meghalaya’s double-decker and single-decker root bridges are unique in the world and are a sight to behold. The bridges are tangles of massive thick roots, which have been intermingled to form a bridge that can hold several people at a time.

Uncle Bob by Default, It’s Me

Hey ! What has happened why are you huffing and puffing?

Miss, Tom and Nicky are fighting badly, boxing and kicking

They were eating their tiffins, argued, shouted, now grappling

Tom grabbed Nicky’s collar, Nicky brawled, both went rolling

Girls passed comments, seniors hooted while juniors were clapping

We  intervened but in vain, threatened them, there was no stopping

We felt helpless thus came to you, Miss please go stop them fighting

I was shocked, felt like Uncle Bob, rushed to sort out the differences

Why I have to be dragged every time  in children’s nuisance and tiffs

 We teachers have to behave like consolers, counselors, arbitrators

Here I come, “Nicky leave Tom, Tom stay away, both of you come to office

What went wrong? Forgot all manners? This is what I taught you? Say sorry

Nicky simply said to Tom
