The Happy Wanderer: Moving on the roads

I am a happy wanderer move on roads, miles I travel to explore the unexplored, enjoy the touch of nature, planned or unplanned, sun or sand, hills or deserts, I have to move on roads.

There are roads which take me away from civilization. I see the mountains, the lakes, the forests, the valleys while traveling on shore.

The curvaceous path follow my quest to explore, or I follow these serpent ways, eager to find more;

There are the roads which take me away from urbanization. I meet the tribals, the farmers, the fields, the villagers while traveling on roads.

The muddy path follow my excitement to see more, or I follow these rural ways, eager to find more;

Roads connect us with past, tell us about the glorious days , When our ancestors created magnificent artistic world.

Roads connect us with the world which has been turned into history and monumental treasure.

An ancient fort which has been abandon for decades.
An ancient fort which has been abandon for decades.

Roads take me to the path of salvation, huge temples, magnificent monasteries and ancient churches it bring.

Roads invite me, tempt me to take a journey worth relishing, I feel like a wanderer soul seeking bliss in traveling.

At times when there is no road I float in water, to reach an island, but I have to move on !

My husband and my camera are my faithful companions, they are by my side with new dawn.

The Full Moon: Can’t change myself with Lunar Phases

Well, I realized that I have actually never clicked the moon with my real camera. All the pictures I have of moon were either clicked by my mobile or my Sony point and shoot. This is the only pic I took with my Nikon DSLR the same night I purshased it.  I didn’t even know most of the funchions by then. Once my friend Jathin of ProTraBlogger published a post where he shared the tips of how to click a perfect moon shot. I liked that post and clicked some cool pics. Unfortunately I did not save it in my laptop. It must be in my hard drive though. Now coming to the prompt.….

I am what I am. Certainly not a chameleon or a ghost who changes her colour every now and then or turns herself into something else with Lunar phases.

Sorry, I don’t have the art to make me turn into a person who’s the opposite of who I normally am, at the occurance of full moon. Full moon appears fortnightly and it is a universal cycle. It doesn’t effects me much as a person.

I have nothing new to describe about me. I have the same old hair cut since no other hair cut suits me. Whenever I go for a change I finally end up ruining my look therefore I am very concious about my hair style. Neither I went for a cosmetic surgery nor indulged in tummy tucks to look slimmer ( new?)  I haven’t purchased any new dress for me for last so many days. Old ones are good enough.

When the full moon happens generally I like to go for evening walks with my husband. I really like the moment when full moon appears, soon it starts rising high in the sky. It is a pleasant experience to see it happening while you are walking and observe the moon going up.

There are many Bollywood songs dedicated to full moon. we have just finished our dinner and it is 10 p:m at night. Time for me to go for a light walk listening to old melodies. I have some songs in my mobile too. Which famous song you like based on moon? Do share with me.

Menagerie: The cute canines

Off course I have animals in my life ! We had rabbits, parrot, love birds in our home but I could never say yes to my sons whenever they wanted me to give permission to bring a pup. Few days back I had written a post on this topic. Here is an extract of the post:

I was confused. Had been living with a guilt for last so many years. Guilt for not saying yes to my sons to bring a pet at home. Not that I am not an animal lover but when it comes to be a part of dog lovers community I simply don’t have the courage to take on this huge responsibility. I am not adverse to the thought but yes I don’t have the commitment coming from inside to take care of a dog. All I can say is I am yet not prepared.

My sons convinced me in all possible manner and promised me to look after the dog themselves. I somehow knew it was not going to happen that way and the dog would become my extended duty. I refused sternly though felt pained doing so. My kids openly showed their anger. Thankfully my husband did not show any interest when boys cribbed about my forced wish on them.

In the meanwhile my dear friend Marilyn Armstrong published a pet post and I shared my concern with her in one of my comments.  She gave me most practical and valuable suggestions. Her reply gave me clear insight on pet issues.

She said, ” Bring a pet when you are ready. Too many people get dogs, discover they are too much work, and dump them into shelters or abandon them. Better to know your limits. Better for you, better for the dog.”

She further suggested, “Kids are very fickle about pet care, so don’t let them talk you into something for which you are not ready. Let them understand that it is not just the few months of cute puppyhood. It is a lifetime care. If your sons are fickle minded don’t go for it until you are ready. You need the right dog, too, one that is the right size and temperament for your life. It’s like marrying the right person.”

So now I know what to do and when is the right time to go for a pup. Presently I am enjoying the squirrels, butterflies and moths in my garden and I know very soon I would be a proud owner of cute canines 🙂

Sharing Home with Clouds: Clouds (Cee’s Fun Foto)

Yes, we were staying with clouds……

Sharing their home known as Meghalaya ( means abode of clouds ) one of the states in India. It was a beautiful tenure of three years.

The moment I saw the theme of Cee’s fun foto I felt nostalgic. My archives are full of clouds of all shapes, texture and moods. Sharing some of the pictures while the nostalgia still lingers on !!!
