Colorful clay miracles, look so bright
Escape the darkness, twinkle at night
Come in all shapes, small, round, wide
Brass, clay, steel, silver, flat or height
Potters make in millions, sell with pride
The lamps create the ambience just right
Decorated shops, colorful stalls a joyous sight
‘Diya’ that’s what we call these lamps of light

The diyas in the top photo were made by tiny tots of a primary school located in my neighborhood. I was the guest for the occasion š
