The Daily Prompt: Handle With Care
How are you at receiving criticism? Do you prefer that others treat you with kid gloves, or go for brutal honesty?
I Â cooly shrink into a shell which I have developed over the years, listening to various forms of criticism, some honest, some brutal, perhaps an outcome of sheer jealousy or might be critic’s own insecurities.
Whatever may be the reason initially it used to get bothered when people misunderstood me, I even tried explaining my point of view and felt pained, but not any more…… but then I have learnt my lessons hard way.Â
I can easily make out the intension, intensity, approach as well as the reason for criticism, occasionally I react if there is a need otherwise I keep quiet  maintaining distance from that person.
“Do you criticize me just because you can’t see me happy ?”
“Do you think what you do is perfect and rest don’t know their job?”
I love myself and my intentions are pure, my spirits are high and my soul can cure.
Then why should I bother to know what you think? I am quiet confident of my actions and always ready to learn.
Whatever it is good, bad or ugly, I take full responsibility.Â
For those of you who are my real critics, I have all the respect and gratitude because due to your honest feedback I continue to improve in all aspects of my life. In fact my father is the best critic who is honest, friendly and frank, a bit brutal in his approach, that’s his style of conveying things. Next in line is my elder son whose forthright views I solicit to gain insight to the mind of Gen Next.
A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CRITICISED ME TIME AND AGAIN TO MAKE ME WHAT I AM TODAY 🙂

Criticism, like rain, should be gentle enough to nourish a persons growth without destroying its roots.
You mean constructive criticism but mostly people get involved in destructive one.
