Tunnel vision
You have been given the ability to build a magical tunnel that will quickly and secretly connect your home with the location of your choice — anywhere on Earth. Where’s the other end of your tunnel?
Exactly! A Magical tunnel….. It’s hot and happening! Discussed widely in word press circles at this moment. Why not? Who doesn’t love magic? I think all of us.
Some of my friends are already in the process of moving towards light to remove the darkness traveling through their magical tunnel. Others have sponsored their tunnel through WordPress. A few tunnels end up in the Maldives, further in Europe.
What would I do? As a desperate mother coping with the separation from my son a fortnight ago, my ability to make a magical tunnel would be at best if I choose  one that ends in Mumbai, where my son is staying to pursue his higher studies.
I would cautiously pack all the goodies in a bag, bake a Chocolate lava cake, his favorite munchies, PS3, and the latest games to play……his basketball, piggy bank, and whatnot…..
This tunnel would then secretly parcel me to my son, who is missing his home, room, friends, father, brother, and, of course, his mom. Is he missing my food, my love, or both?
How could it make much difference to me anyway?
The thought itself was so beautiful that I couldn’t wait anymore. I would be no longer a lonely mother, for I have this magical wand—oops! Tunnel to meet my adorable son as and when I want. We, both cheerful souls, would have laughed to nurture our spirits. Amen!
