Our Hunger was Sated

The moment I came to know Secunderabad was going to be our new hometown for the next two years, Hyderabadi Biryani was the first thing which came to my mind…. aromatic & world famous dish of South India. Those who don’t know where Secunderabad is, let me tell you. It is popularly known as twin city of Hyderabad. Located in the Indian state of Telangana. Named after Sikandar Jah, the third Nizam of the Asaf Jahi dynasty, Secunderabad was founded in 1806 as a British cantonment. You can search Google for more.

So now from Western India we have moved towards Southern part of the country. The exotic aroma of Idli sambhar, Dosa and Nizam food especially ‘biryani’is simply irresistible. The sated thoughts will  come and pour till you don’t indulge yourself in delicacy of rice. The moment we landed in Secunderabad we hit to the biryani joint to sate our hunger and what else could be a better choice than world famous Paradise hotel and a Roof Top restaurant to have it. A Legend since 1953 !

Biryani, a dish of Indian origin, more prominently considered to be dish of Nizam (Ruler of the state of Deccan). Though we have Lucknowi Biryani also which has more of Awadhi taste but in terms of spices this one wins hands down.

South India has more varieties of biryani than any other part of the subcontinent. Moreover rice is more a staple food in South India than any other state.Hyderabadi biryani is a blend of Mughlai and Iranian cuisine, originated in the kitchens of the Nizam, rulers of the historic Hyderabad State.  Hyderabadi Biryani is also a integral part of Pakistani Cuisine due to its exotic flavor and aromatic taste.

So next time while you visit this part of the world you know where you can have stomach sated fully filled!

I moved again to a new city……

If you don’t like where you are

Move, you are not a tree

That was not the reason I moved

I moved because I ought to

Not because I was deprived of anything

Rather it was time to detach myself

My husband had completed his tenure

Two years gone and it was time to pack

Time to leave my work place,

beautiful house, lush green lawns,

Wonderful friends, the fields, the plateaus

Everything related to that place

Moved to a new land, finding my roots

Searching for the new world, my world, our world……

It’s easier said than done

The experience makes me stronger

At the same time I want to stay longer

Adapting to every situation

Leaving behind all that you achieved

In terms of profession and personal

My son is again a new kid on the block

And I am a new member in the ladies meet

The scene looks too chaotic in the beginning

Slowly it becomes manageable

That’s why was away for last few months

Juggling with boxes and cartons

Altering curtains and filing rations

Wandering, what would have happening

in the lives of my blogger friends

But used to snore like pig after day’s slog.

Now that the house is functional

I look forward to have more interaction

Life is a big roller coaster…. Moving faster

Curvecous Roads of Shimla

I have been travelling on the roads of Shimla which are curvaceous and takes you the most scenic locations.

Shimla is situated in northern India, is the capital of Indian state Himachal Pradesh.

No wonder Britishers had declared this town as their summer capital. The British feel can be clearly felt as soon as you land up there.

More on this amazing place in coming posts. Enjoy the curves and also check my post on flowers of Shimla

WHERE’S THE SOUL and SPIRIT?

DSC_4127

For me today’s one word  is Struggling….

searching…..

giving up…..

feeling shallow…..

Don’t know how to say you all this…..excatly after four months….

Last four months….no blogging, no writing, no photography I mean I had lost my soul, my spirit, I wasn’t doing the things I love….. I am still nervous….feels like as if I have to start from sctrach…..

I didn’t plan it….it happened on its own….In the begignning of new year I was extremely busy and was not able to write actually. Many bloggers left a note on my last post and I replied too that I would be back soon . I had no idea by then that it would take so long to come back.

Have I lost it? O my God ! I am freezed !….

My followers must have left me, forget me….
What had happened to me? Why was I so reluctant not to log in and write something? Was I running away from myself? My husband told me so many times to leave everything stupid I was knee deep involved with and start blogging but I was adamant not to. Was I tired of blogging and taking work as an excuse? No, after all I was doing for my husband and he needed my support. Or was I trying to prove myself as a dedicated and sincere one to the world? Does anyone care out there, huh?

I missed my friends so much, I used to feel so bad for not reading their blogs…..I terribly missed writing someone,”Keep inspiring” but then why I was not telling her? Why couldn’t I just post two lines.. ” HEY ! I AM MISSING YOU ALL BADLY…ISN’T THERE ANYOTHER WAY  THAT I CAN BE IN TOUCH WITH YOU ALL….NOT ABLE TO BLOG, DON’T FEEL LIKE TYPING ANYMORE.” I was in a different world altogether totally away from creativity and me-time.

Things changed when my husband read one of the mails in my mail box ( I wasn’t even checking my mails ! ) and found out a massage of a very special person. She was really perturbted about my sudden silence. She is a great source of strength to me and Tarun has a fair idea about my feelings for her therefore he told me to act immidietalely. I don’t know whether she will read this or not but ‘ “I’m really sorry for not checking your mail. I am so fortunate to have you in my well-wisher’s list.

Don’t know whether how many people remember this soul and spirit but those who miss me…..(Yes I know few of them who were worried about me and wondered about my long absence) I am so sorry not to reply to their e mails or queries.

I will try to be more regular and will leave a note in case I go away. Has it ever happened with you? looking for answers…..

OOPS! AN UNEXPECTED GUEST

Today when I came back home from shopping

Saw this feline, who quietly in the garden, resting

I hastely put my bags and clinched my camera

Waiting for him to come closer, to catch his aura_DSC2379.JPG

He came from nowhere, never seen before in my lawn

He pounced on a mice as he crossed, later he yawned

Stretched, relaxed, he lay down in one of the flower beds

The lemon tree above made a nice cool shed _DSC2380

As I rushed to click a picture, he gave me a perfect oops moment

He squeezed his eyes tightly and went off to sleep, refused to sit

I had to wait till my furry guest wakes up and gives me a hint

So what if he came unexpected, he is now a part of my guest list
