Four Gateways That Lead To The Indian History

These gateways saw it all! The royal precisions, the kings and their kin leading through the gateways, sitting in decorated palkis escorted by horses and elephant warriors. Observing the crowd, cheering and sprinkling flowers on the path as their chariots cross and proceed further. This incredible gate has a glorious past. Past of Princely states, kingdoms, and empires. Have a look.

The Gateway Of India, located in Mumbai, from where the British entered our country and then started the trade which eventually led to the territory. Now a memorial of two hundred years of foreign rule.

This picture is not clicked in B&w rather this cave and the long corridor look exactly like this, one of the famous caves in Aurangabad.

Last but definitely not least, you can see the gateway in the picture on the ground below (behind the tall pillar) to enter into one of its kind, monolithic architecture-inspired, Kailash temple at Ellora caves. Because of its massive area, sculpture, architecture, it is considered the most magnificent cave temple in India. It consists of total16 caves interlinked with each other as a part of the 32 cave temples, collectively known as the caves of Ellora. Constructed in the 8th century under the reign of Krishna I around 756- 773 CE. The temple architecture is reminiscent to the Chalukya as well as the Pallava dynasty style.
