I Get Up And Move

It’s the night before an important event: a big exam, a major presentation, your wedding. How do you calm your nerves in preparation for the big day?

“Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable and receives the impossible.”

Most of us find what we search for. I look for strength, not weaknesses, for good, not evil for the preparation for the big day.

I have faith in my abilities, though I too get nervous at times but at the end it is my belief in me which makes things possible for me. I am a firm believer that if I want it, I will achieve it somehow. I don’t know why, I was never so focused or serious in my life.

Before exams I used to be calm and confident and never got scared, same  I have told my students to follow. I believe in putting my 100% for an event and then leave rest to God as it takes both rain and sunshine to make a rainbow. A date with nature calms my nerves like anything.

I trust my own instincts, don’t allow fears and insecurities to dampen my confidence. It was the most happiest day of my life when I got  married some years ago, now it seems I was never ever a single soul !

I believe in destiny. We cannot get more than we have destined for and not before when we are destined for. Therefore instead of calming my nerves I do my KARMA because that’s what God wants me to do.

Since my childhood I was never scared of exams and now when I’m no longer in the first flush of youth, I can go for impromptu  interview anytime. My husband is in a transferable job so eventually I have to give interviews for a new job at a new place quite regularly. Most of the times these interviews are like non formal interactions with the principal of a school which I visit for my son’s admission and  I also land up with a teaching job in the same school.

I have never stayed in a protected environment and to prove my worth in a short span of time may have taken out the fear of failure in me.

  1. such an inspiring read…even I believe the same , that one should do one’s karma and leave the rest to god…and follow this philosophy till date…I love your optimistic approach towards life which comes across in your writings as well 🙂

  2. Absolutly very well written – I see we have a bit in common here, coz I don’t see exams as others chance to be judges on stage against me – but as my opportunity – so I’m always “offensive” in this kind of situations – opposite to the daily where I am a lot more relaxed… 😀

  3. I believe in Karma, too. I tend to quote or suggest it in many of my posts. I think it is a little like the Christian saying, “Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.” In both situations, being kind, caring and helpful are ways to be richly rewarded by having people be those things back to you. I hope that you don’t often get fearful or insecure, you should be a confident woman, as you are intelligent, beautiful on the inside and outside, too. smiles! Still working on my award acceptance blog post… by the way!
