I HAVE A DREAM……..

Your blog is about to be recorded into an audiobook. If you could choose anyone — from your grandma to Samuel L. Jackson — to narrate your posts, who would it be?

article-1330627-0259851E000005DC-33_634x535Yes We Can.….This comment of Barack Obama changed the history of USA, catapulting a person from humble background to the chair of President making him the first African American to hold the coveted office.

The rich baritone coupled with sincerity and compassion has engrossed the attention of millions of people who were looking for a ray of hope when the world was going through economic slowdown.

Although it’s difficult for someone to express my creativity with the same gusto, however if given a choice to appoint someone to record my blog into an audio book then it has to be in the magical voice of Mr President….Sir Barack Obama.

Mr Barack Obama uses rhythm, body language, pauses and punctuation and nuances in voice tone to “sing” a speech like Dr. King… but at his best Barack Obama comes closest. He has the capacity to play an audience as if it were part of his own personal orchestra and that is a level of mastery that few ever reach.

Just a couple of years ago a young state senator spoke for 16 minutes and 11 seconds (just 4 seconds longer than the real “King’s Speech,” Martin Luther King’s I Have A Dream,” the greatest in modern American history), launched a presidency and established himself as one of America’s greatest orators.

How I wish if today Sir Martin Luther King was alive then definitely he would have taken precedence over the next best choice.

  1. I still believe in Barack Obama and always will love MLK, Jr. for his delivering the all important messages of love and acceptance for all people. I think it is a shame how the Senate and Congress have not been supportive of our current President. There has been much more disrespect than other presidents in this way. My Mom says that it is sad to hear that in a crowd gathered to hear Pres. Obama speak, of veterans there was only a ‘sprinkling of applause.’ In the past, being President was enough to gain grand entrances and much applause. We are sad for this, my Mom and I. I enjoyed this post and how you showed so much caring and supporting these two men who have made a difference in our country.

  2. don’t say morgan freeman don’t say morgan freeman don’t say morgan freeman “Morgan Freeman? Damnit!” That might be a little too cliched. Heck, I’m reading your blog in his voice right now. But I think my real answer would be Vin Diesel. His voice and positive attitude fit the general theme of my blog posts, despite his gruff exterior. Thanks for providing an interesting question. I may steal it…
