The Mirror crack’d
You wake up one morning to a world without mirrors. How does your life — from your everyday routines to your perception of yourself — change?
All mirrors are removedÂ
How am I supposed to move?
Who will pamper my ego?
I can not get ready and go.
Physical appearance so loud
Who will fill me with proud?
What will happen to my vanity?
How will I treat my anxiety ?
All these years you looked after me
You gave me a feel of a flawless me
Now I have to live without you
Not that easy to forget you
You are witness to my fears
My insecurities and tears
I am myself in front of you
My secrets are known to you.
Nature has more options
Look ! there are water mirrors
Lakes will show my soul reflections
Draw me towards spiritual connections
Time has come I enhance my knowledge
By sitting near this tranquility and pledge
Mirror of nature is there for soul searching
So what if man made mirrors are breaking

World without mirrors. Can’t even imagine. Beautifully expressed
Thanks and such a pleasure to have you on these pages.
This is so thought provoking. After I read it, I realized how much I look to the mirror, for some kind of guidance, some kind of reassurance and it is definitely a sign of our society how beauty and looks are always so often promoted. This was a wonderful post, Rashmi! Hope you have a wonderful week, my dear one!
