Marsala is the Pantone’s color of the year 2015.
Pantone, as they do each December, has revealed its color of the year this morning! For 2015, Pantone has picked a color that men needn’t be bashful about embracing: marsala. No, marsala—not to be confused with the rich, orange masala, of “chicken tikka†fame—is “equally appealing†to both genders, according to Pantone.
The color—the name of which comes from the fortified wine—is described as “naturally robust and earthy wine red.†It’s slightly duller than scarlet, not quite as moody as burgundy, we’d assess. credit: Google
Jennifer Nicole Wells has decided to start 2015 off right, by having it as a One Word Photo Challenge theme.
Here is my entry for One word photo challenge: Marsala.
Looks like an amazing place, Especially the patterns on the wall of the first shot 🙂
It is the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi in Porbandar, Gujrat. This is the main gate of the building where his house is located. House is not at all this grand and new 🙂
oh wow the lessons and stories these walls would tell 🙂
These are wonderful! And I love the information you’ve found to share on the color. A color you never hear about, and yet it’s all around us. There’s something about your flower photo above that holds me captive- the photos, the colors- it’s breathtaking. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you so much. I appreciate your kind words. I missed few challenges as I was away to celebrate new year eve with my family. Happy to join you again 🙂
Must be some task to pick these pictures from your collection!
Phew !!! 🙂 Thanks but not as good as yours.
