The mums are blooming to the full glory. The rich colours and shades make them so attractive that you just cannot miss the bright blooms. I like the fact that the mums bouquet last long if you keep changing the water of the vase and keep trimming the stems of the flowers every day. My flowers have generally survived in the vase up to a week or more. Buds also open up so beautifully. I gladly accept when my friends gift me the bunch of mums on special days.

In Asia the chrysanthemum signifies life and rebirth, making them great gifts for birthdays and baby showers. A white chrysanthemum symbolises loyalty and devotion in love. Chrysanthemums are also believed to represent happiness, love, longevity and joy.

Chrysanthemums are known as sun-loving plants. Although they require only six hours of sunlight each day, more exposure is better for their growth, bloom and firmness. It is suggested to provide light shade in hot, summer afternoons, appropriate in warmer gardening zones to prevent scorching.
