Sharing My World: 2014 Week 41

Cee’s Photography: Share Your World – 2014 Week 41

Sharing is caring…... It’s so much fun sharing your world with friends. As a student I used to wait desperately for the interval to share my tiffin with friends.

Now when I find my students who finish their tiffins in zero period or as soon as the teacher leaves the class, taking bites from each other’s tiffin I am reminded of the fact that sharing is so necessary to have a great bonding amongst the friends and family members.

Today I am sharing my world through these questions which Cee has asked us to reply in our own way. Here are my answers.

Would you rather take pictures or be in pictures?

I am in love with my camera and prefer to click as a person behind it.  I like to be in pictures occasionally  to preserve the memories of events happening in my life.

What did you most enjoy doing this past week?

Oh, I loved to put Heena/Mehandi on my hands, dressed up for “KARVACHAUTH” festival last week. (Karva means a ‘pot’ and fourth day after the full moon is called ‘chauth’.) How is it looking? 10469916_10202956660305420_2102371319143140198_n-2 On this ‘One day festival’ married ladies keep fast from sunrise to moonrise for their husband’s safety and longevity.  Yes, without water and food throughout the day ! Why would one feels thirsty when you know you are not supposed to drink water till moonrise?  We don’t mind even if we remain hungry for a day, especially when we are getting exclusive gifts, love and pampering from husband and other members of the family. THIS IS OUR DAY…… The great Indian wives 🙂 tumblr_mcv6ltDPUq1qm6l0wo1_500 What is your greatest extravagance?

Handicrafts, shoes and souvenirs. In fact I have collected more than I can accommodate in my home. In fact today I am going to buy an antique statue of Lord Krishna in Bronze which I came across in an exhibition of handicrafts. Still thinking where I am going to display it?  IT IS GRAND.

Which letter of the alphabet describes you best?

It has to be ‘S’. Soul is the name which has been given by my fellow bloggers and friends. I accept and treasure it. S is soul of my blog and it uplifts my spirits too. S stands for smile 🙂 whenever I receive it from my friends there is a big grin 😀 on my face and I reciprocate with a smiley. 🙂

I love it when my children say  “ So yummy !” after having food made by me. I love it the expression on my husband’s face when he says after coming back from a long exercise camp, ” I missed you So much !” 300px-Soul_logo Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful to God for giving me a day which was totally dedicated to my soulmate, we drove down Daulatabad fort, spent some time there, came back and chillaxed together in our lovely garden. I want to be with him forever ! DSC_4660 I kept fast, later on enjoyed the dinner and added on few more calories . I spoke to my parents, in laws, exchanged my mehendi pics with my friends and sisters, all my sisters were looking beautiful on that occasion. I felt blessed receiving so many wishes from all my colleagues and students from previous schools where I worked before. They made my day.

I am looking forward to travel to few ancient temples located in the outskirts of the city. They are exquisite and artistic in nature and fine examples of stone carving. Have a great day ahead !

How was your weekend? It would be nice to hear from you.
